It depends on the seams, they would have to be wide enough to be let out and still hold the dress together. Sometimes depending on the dress they can add a panel of fabric to make it bigger (they do this w/wedding dresses a lot). Your best bet is to take it to several seamstresses, what one can not do another can. I had a friend last week need alterations she took her dress to 3 seamstresses before she found one who was up for the challenge. Good Luck!

OF COURSE! Especially if you are getting her a corsage, if she is wearing a pink dress you really do not want to get an orange corsage, the corsage and the dress must match. This is usually for prom or homecoming though, so unless your prom is SUPER early this year, I would not worry about it. Besides alot of girls want you to know their dress color so you do not make that mistake, but if she refuses to tell just get her a black (rare and kinda dark) or white (usually more suitable, but can look too formal sometimes) corsage.
