The Japanese automaker previously confirmed two new tuned by STI models will be heading to the U.S., the first being the Subaru WRX STI Type RA, while the second will now be the BRZ tS. It was originally thought Subaru would brand it as the BRZ STI, but based on the latest tweet, it will take on the tS nameplate just like it did in Japan.

The Subaru BRZ tS was offered in Japan in 2015 and lacked any upgrades under the hood, which is likely the case for the model heading to the U.S. Instead, the BRZ will benefit from suspension upgrades, bigger brakes, and unique wheels. It will also have different styling to give it a more aggressive appearance. And while the BRZ tS in Japan lacked a rear spoiler, the U.S.-bound model will have a large, carbon fiber rear wing.
Look for the WRX STI Type RA to have similar upgrades, with the automaker having teased a carbon fiber roof and rear wing for the four-door sports car.
Tune in tomorrow for more Subaru Tecnica International goodness.
