You wo not break anything structural except your fist.Firstly- they aren't glass.There is a thin inner replaceable pane that you can touch (called funnily enough the scratch panel- because that's the one passengers often scratch)- it's thin - relatively speaking - at 5mm thick only because the main window is much thicker.Then behind the scratch panel is the inner panel (the one with a small hole in it), so if you broke the scratch and got to the inner, well it's another 5mm thick.But it's also smaller than the scratch panel and gasketed, so it will be tougher to punch through - may be possible but I bet your hand is not in any shape to do it after going through the scratch panel. So you went all Hulk and smashed both the scratch and the inner panels and broke both your hands.And now we get to the outer pane.This is going to be tough, not just because you have two broken hands already, but this bad boy is twice to three times thicker (depending on window's size and location and model) and structurally supported, meaning it's STRONG.10 to 12mm of toughened high strength plastic.You would be better off trying to punch through the skin of the plane, as that outer window is actually stronger than the hull.Unless you have green skin and run around in torn pants a lot- you ain't going through it with your fists; you probably couldn't even get through it with a hammer.How susceptible is window glass of airlines to break? You did not give many details but I have two guesses. 1. the house is moving a little. Perhaps it is sinking on its foundation in one corner of your home and throwing the house out of square a little bit. Is it hard to open and close some of the doors? If so you will need to call in an expert. 2. Sometimes glass can be fractured by a large and sudden temperature change. Is it west facing glass, or is it all the glass having the problem?

But aside from the other suggestions, you can also use masking tape (not duct tape!) laid gently over the skin and peeled away (a new piece each time!) and that will help get out some of the smaller shards that you can not see or get at with tweezers. I do this to get fiberglass out of my skin (my fiance works for a boat manufacturer and comes home with it all in his clothes). Whatever you are unable to remove or have removed, your body will end up pushing out on its own by way of small pimple-like bumps. The tiny pieces will come out in the pus. Sorry for being so graphic, but that's how it works. Just keep the area clean - you can put peroxide into a spray bottle and apply it that way if it hurts too much to actually bathe. This will help prevent infection until it's all out
