Classic lens on new EVIL camera body? [closed]
If Canon was to release a mirrorless body and wished to support the EF/EF-S lenses on it, it would require an adapter because the registration distance will have changed. Basically, the gain with mirrorless is a thinner body, so the optical construction of current Canon lenses would not work for it out of the box

Which DSLR should I start with?
The Canon 50D has a magnesium shell, if that's a serious concern. Contrary to what Barbara said, not even the Rebels have plastic innards. Entry-level DSLRs, such as the Nikon D40 and Canon XS feature a plastic body over a metal chassis. Even the Nikon D90 has a plastic body. Modern plastics hold up quite well. For rugged environments, carry your equipment in a good padded case. I would suggest you reconsider a Rebel model (XS or XSi) so as to have more money to spend on lenses. You may well upgrade the camera body several times over the years, but good lenses will stay with you.

Camera body or Lens problem?
It's a lens problem.or more accurately, a photographer problem. You are shooting too close with a wide angle lens. Shoot at focal lengths of 50mm and greater.

Why does a higher-end camera body like the Nikon D700 cost so much?
Another reason is that professional level photographers expect, indeed need, higher levels of support. This means better spares availability, faster turn around on repairs, stocking of replacement kit and more support staff. All of this adds to the price of the camera.

Between $900-$1200 which 10 mp slr digital camera should i get?
The Sony A200 is 10mp and has its version of Image Stabilization (IS) in the camera body. It can use every Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985 and all of them will enjoy the benefit of IS. The Pentax K10D is also a 10mp camera withi its version of IS in the camera body. It can use (with some limitations) every manual focus K-mount lens made since 1975 and, of course, every AF K-mount lens made - and every lens used will have the benefit of IS. I suggest you visit a site like digitalcameraguide.com and read the reviews of comparably priced cameras from Sony, Canon, Pentax and Nikon and decide for yourself.

Buy New Lenses or New Camera Body?
Now this is an interesting question. While lenses DO hold their value better, a full frame body like the D600 is really a wonderful upgrade. Granted the D600 is having dust issues, it is still a good camera. Full frame just feels better to me

What camera body should I upgrade too?
so why exactly do you need to upgrade? unless there is a specific feature you need on a higher end model, or if your camera is dying, there really is no need for you to spend your money on a better body instead, invest in good lenses, which will make a much larger impact on your photography than any new body will. I have been using my Nikon D40 for the past three years, and it is only now that I need to upgrade because I am doing tons more indoor sports photography and I need better ISO handling.

Need some good suggestions for a pinhole camera body?
I have a pattern for creating one that is a box and the nice part of that is when you slide the front in it is designed with the edges that push against the films edge and holds it flat. BUT. My first ever (which I still own) and have built many since was with a Quaker Oatmean canister. The round, cardboard type. Hope this helps. c

Do I need to buy a lense when I buy a camera body?
As others have stated above, you will need both a lens and a body. Sure, you can buy just the body if you want, but you wo not be able to take pictures. If you are buying a new camera and the lens is included in the package, then YES, the lens will work on the body. Your camera body can use all sorts of different lenses. If in the future you want to buy a new lens, then you will need to make sure that it will work on your body. This is easy to figure out once you get familiar with your camera and the owner's manual.
