No, go for it. The battery will only help with the rate of fire with the rifle. An 8.4 will have a lower ROF than the 9.6v will. An upgraded spring will damage your rifle if you do not have the right reinforced internals. Make sure your gun has all metal gears, a reinforced shell, and a high torque motor to pull the spring.

from my uttermost honest opinion i do not think you "need" to change anything. 8.4 to 9.6 is not that big of a change. but if you so desire to upgrade so, then i would recommend metal/bearing bushings, a new gear set (something decent, not some flat or speed set), and a new piston with full teeth. JG stock piston sucks

You should, but you have to take care of the internals, remember because that is a more powerful battery and it will cause greater wear and tear on the AEG. For an improvement you should add an M110 spring, and upgrade to a lipoly battery. Now these will cause very high wear and tear on the AEG, but remember you take care of it and it will take care of you.

higher voltage batteries dont harm guns, its just that it makes them cycle faster therefore wear out faster. problems with clones is that they are improperly shimmed, and at high speeds the un-aligned gears tend to strip each other or the sector gear will grind the piston so make sure u give it a proper shim job, then nothing major to worry about.

I've put Blackspur drill in Yahoo search and nobody seems to admit they make them, if you try you will see lots of salesmen including ASDA (UK Walmart) it might be worth going to their site and looking. In the UK if it was a 'hobby' quality drill in the first place it is usually cheaper to replace the whole thing. I had a 'skil' drill for years but when the battery went replacement battery 60 (the original price of the drill) and quite a selection of cheaper new drills. Have a look at axminster power tool co.
