At What Month Would You Put a Baby in a Convertible Car Seat?

My daughter was 3 months when we ditched her infant carrier and switched to a convertible. She was quite hefty, and long. She hadnt totally outgrown it, but was much more comfy in a convertible. I often wore her when out and about, so switching was no big deal.

1. Travel system versus convertible car seat?

Well I suggest both honestly, I had to buy both and its worth it! The travel system because the car seat is easy to fit in and out of the car into a shopping cart, and in the stroller, the stroller you will use for a long time. A Convertible car seat because you have to buy a forward facing, and a booster seat, and its the way to go, its cheaper. Its my opinion, wal-mart and amazon.com is amazing I saved so much money! Plus, I used the car seat for a year, and sold it, and I use the stroller for walks, its bigger so you can fit more. Amazon.com though I bought a convertible car seat for 100 dollars cheap brand new from a bunch of other stores. So look there too, and read lots of reviews to help you shop also. GL and CONGRATS

Sunshine Kids Radian in the middle, the booster on the side. and a convertible on the side, all in a Mercury Sable 2002. You need to check width of the back seat, and the best sedan backseat will be more like a bench and not like buckets. Some convertibles are VERY wide, and with these you can never get three across. You really should have both youngest RF, but at your heights this may not be possible for the middle child! We needed to RF the seat in the middle for best fit. Our Honda CRV fits three across, but the RF seat must be in the middle.

Infant car seats are nice. They fit into a base in your car so you can leave your infant in the car seat and use it as a carrier. It's especially nice in the winter to keep your car seat in your house and get your baby bundled up in it before you go out. They also fit into most strollers on the market. That way you do not have to take your baby out of his/her carseat everywhere you go. You just put the carseat in the stroller

Switched my twins about 8 months. One was 20 lbs and other was about 27 lbs and their legs were coming out. Went to a rear facing Britax and recently switched it to forward facing bc they are almost 1

I have the evenflo triumph and it's great. It's easy to adjust the straps, it's comfy, had the latch system it's just an overall good convertible car seat to buy. I didnt have to buy mine since I bought the evenflo embrace and was one of the unlucky mom's who had the Z handle break while I was carrying her ,and it was before the recall . Fortunately she wasnt hurt but Evenflo sent me a convertible car seat of my choice for free

6. What convertible car seat do you have for your baby?

I recently laybuy would a 0-8 car seat from Big W in australia. Cant remember the brand or whatever but it's on their website and was $328. Suits from birth to 8 years and considering the only other car seats i could find at the time were boosters 4 and the only newborn - 4 was only 30 cheaper i figured it was a decent price. Cant say whether it's a good seat or not at bubs is still cooking though
