You Can Look Up at the Stars From the Comfort of a Bed at This Open Air Hotel

So you like the idea of camping - sleeping under the stars, listening to the sounds of nature - but you're not really up for the whole sleeping on the floor thing.We feel you.Youinvest in a fancy airbed, or stay in a hotel with the windows wide open.But if you really want to combine the joy of camping with the comfort of sleeping in a proper bed, this open air hotel in Switzerland might be a good shout.The Null Stern Hotel in the Gbsi mountains doesn't have walls or a ceiling.Instead, it's just a double bed, a nightstand, and lamps.Yep. That's it.There's no windows or walls to obstruct your view - you can look up at the stars and out at the mountains while lounging in a hotel bed. Lovely.Now, while it's a fancy concept, there are some things that prevent the hotel from meeting a standard luxury experience.There's no ensuite bathroom, and you'll have to walk a good ten minutes to the nearest loo and shower. Bit annoying when you climb out of bed in the morning in need of a piss.If there's bad weather, you'll need to stay in a mountain chalet instead.Oh, and it's 295 (260) a night - a little pricier than your average spot to set up your tent.But that's probably worth it for the views. The hotel is located 3,900 feet above sea level, surrounded by mountains and nature.There's also a butler on hand to welcome you in and serve you a sandwich and coffee in the morning.Plus you can have the thrill of getting sexual in the open air, if you're into that.The room is the creation of conceptual artists Frank and Patrik Riklin and hospitality professional Daniel Charbonnier, who made the project with support from the Alps Art Acadmey and Safiental Tourism. They're hoping to install more beds throughout the Swiss countryside.So who knows This could be the future of the camping experience.No more wriggling around in a sleeping bag and avoiding the pointy rock under the floor of your tent. Just lounging in a bed, propping your pillows, and breathing in fresh air in the middle of mountains. Ahh.
