Natural gas is a good economical heating fuel. Space heaters can be helpful, but will run up your electrical bill and may overload the circuits in an older house. It helps to put up that stuff they sell at HD or Lowes that is clear window film for on the inside of windows. Also, close the heat outlet vents in rooms not used and shut their doors. Check the furnace's air filter and keep a clean one in there. Ceiling fans will redistribute heat trapped up by the ceiling.
1. Riding pants for the heat?
You do not have to dress proper for riding, unless you are being judged. I wear crop pants, Ariat Vistas with a tank top during the summer. Now when you are showing as I do, I have to suck it up during the Show and wear the suit. But, I do pull my pant legs up past my knee and put on the shirt and jacket on at the last minute. I have never been able to find anything cool for Show Wear! I have tried everything. So I always work my horse out in my street clothes, and wait til last minute to change.
2. Why does heat rash dry your skin out?
My best guess is that heat absorbs the moisture in the skin, leaving it dry
3. Compare the effectiveness of autoclaving and dry heat method
Steam sterilization uses much less energy and time than dry heat methods. In order to kill spores a dry heat sterilizer needs to reach and maintain 170C for one hour. An autoclave only needs to reach 121C for 15 minutes.
4. Does Brownian motion produce heat? Or take up heat?
THE BROWNIAN MOTION INVOLVES KINETIC ENERGY WHICH IS USE TO DRIVE THE TINY PARTICLES IN FLUIDS
5. HEAT ENERGY HELP IDGI?
It's not easy to distinguish temperature from heat energy. Generally, we think that hot things have more energy than cold things.. but; is there more energy in a heated swimming pool at 29 degrees or in a candle flame? Do you agree that the huge mass of water in the swimming pool means that the energy stored as heat, even though it's barely lukewarm, is more than the heat energy in the high temperature but very low mass of the candle flame.? It means that the iceberg (which i am assuming to be several megatonnes) would have more energy than the burning match. To heat the iceberg from absolute zero to 0 celcius would take a lot more energy than to heat the match from absolute zero to 2230C By inference, we can deduce that the only time that heat and temperature are the same is at absolute zero; when there's no heat energy, and zero temperature (on the Kelvin scale)
6. future of the miami heat?
They need to drop Jermaine O' Neal (who's either way past his prime or does not care about winning anymore) or at least add another strong Veteran. They have a really young team with Chalmers, Beasley and even Wade is still way young. They need to get a good small forward or power forward.
7. How does our bodies actually use energy to produce body heat?
what is making the heat? in Thermochemistry, there a 2 type of reaction. one is endothermic reaction & another one is exothermic reaction. exothermic reaction will produce heat when the reaction occur. well, in our body, the oxidation of glucose occur in mitochondria in order to obtain energy in form of ATP. the oxidation of glucose molecule is a exothermic reaction. this is how our body make heat! have a nice day.
8. Equalization of pressure in heat exchanger
This experiment divides the container so that pressure (a "flow" of gas molecules against the walls) can be equalized thru the narrow tube but net flow of heat from hot molecules passing thru the narrow tube is seriously impeded (essentially does not occur because each section is maintained at 300 K or 400 K).This non-equilibrium condition is held static by the external devices maintaining the set temperatures and the narrow tube which connects the pressures in the two "systems" but disconnects the heat flow. To see that the pressures will eventually be the same, imagine connecting the two vessels at 300 K by the narrow tube, then quickly heating one to 400 K. The pressure will increase in the heated tube, and depending on the narrowness of the tube, will decrease as gas flows into the cooler tube (where the pressure will increase because there will be more molecules there, even tho still at 300 K). After some time, the pressures will equalize
