What Color Or What Kind of Tile Should I Put Down on a Kitchen and Bathroom Floor?

Definately neutral colors. Add other colors to your liking in the form of paint, fabrics and wall decor. But keep things like flooring, counters and cabinets fairly neutral and classic. That way when you decide to sell your home it will appeal to more people. And you should use the same tile for your kitchen and your bath, provides continuity. If the color is too light it may look stark. Grays tend to always look dirty. Use at least a 12in tile, maybe even consider an 18in. Match the grout as close to the color of the tile as possilbe. Contrasting grout is not attractive!

It wasn t loose grout that caused the tile to come loose. It was the other way around. Loose tile caused the grout to crack and loosen. Best temp fix is to carefully take the tile out, use a temporary glue such as silicone caulk , re glue it and re grout it. This is a temp fix just ask you asked, not a perminate fix by no means. Re grout will just come out right away. Tile needs to be glued, even temporary or the tile will crack and possible cause a sharp edge. Construction adhesive can stain a regrout job and cab stain through certain tiles.. Since most people who answer here haven t done tile for 20 years, they don t know.

lots of paint products have mold and mildew preventative things added now, I used one made by zinseer specifically to stop the mold/mildew growth in the upper half of my shower stall/bathroom walls, it works great

I would use a paint stripper that you can find in your local hardware store. Make sure you have the room well ventilated. Use a fan to ventilate the room because the fumes can be very toxic. Start with a small area. Check to make sure the stripper wont discolor your grout. Do a small area at a time. and wear gloves and try not to get any stripper on your skin. Hope this helps you

Bleach is the only thing that will really touch it. If the stain is still there, then it's going to stay there to remind you to be more careful in the future. Perhaps you can surprise your roommate with a bathroom throw rug?

YUCK! of course feces and urine, human or animal can cause illness. If your friend's sister has to keep the dog in a spare bathroom because it's sick, that being cruel to the dog. If an animal is sick it has to be taken to a vet immediately. If the sister cannot afford to take the dog to a vet she should take it to an animal shelter and hopefully she will be able to surrender the dog.

Probably not, but the result could be ooky. It's best to mop up the beer with a squeeze mop into a pail and finish off with mopping with water. Then you can apply the bleach. You should then mop again with water. The reason is that the residue on the floor will be a mix of NaOH and NaCl. The NaOH could damage the floor or whatever is placed on the floor or walks on it afterward

8. What's the easiest and fastest way to clean and sanitize bathroom floor?

Use any name brand product that has antiseptic cleaning ability. Generally Clorox mixed with water and maybe some Ajax or Comet will do the job very well. Mr. Bubbles does good also, but I always come back and spray the area down with a Clorox based product and then rinse and wipe dry.
